The Agency Economy

Everyone has access to AI.
Directing it is the advantage.

Everyone has access to increasingly similar AI capabilities. The advantage comes from what your people can do with them. humanskills.ai builds the human capability layer that decides whether AI investment produces value or noise.

The Capability Gap

AI activity is not AI capability

Most organizations have already bought the tools. Licenses are provisioned, a policy exists, pilots have run. And the work looks largely the same, only faster in places and less reliable in others.

That gap is not a technology problem. Tool access does not create judgment. A policy document does not create responsible practice. A pilot does not become a practice on its own. Each requires capability that has to be built deliberately, in the people doing the work.

Tools do not create capability
Access to a model tells someone what is possible, not what is worth doing, when to trust the output, or who owns the result.
Pilots do not become practice
A successful pilot proves something can work. Turning that into how the organization operates is a different problem and it is a human one.
Policy is not practice
Guardrails hold when the people inside them understand what they are for. Otherwise they are worked around by people trying to do their jobs.

These ARE Capability gaps, not a technology gap
The capability model

Capability has levels. Knowing yours tells you what to build next.

We publish an eight-level model of Human × AI capability, from basic literacy through leading enterprise transformation. Most organizations are not evenly distributed across it. Some functions are further along than leadership assumes, and the gaps are rarely where people expect.

The levels matter less as a scorecard than as a sequence. Each depends on the one before it, and the two hardest transitions are the ones organizations most often try to skip.

Who We Help

Different organizations, different starting points.

Institutions

Higher education leaders and workforce development

Get every learner to AI Fluency

Annual per-seat licensing of the AI Foundations programs across an entire population, delivered in facilitated cohorts with institutional reporting and verified completion for every seat. Priced on committed annual throughput.

Deliver capability regionally

Offer AI Agility Challenge and Applied AI Certificate as a partner, co-branded, with your faculty facilitating and revenue share on every cohort.

Employers

Enterprise and teams

Private cohorts run against your own context, at a shared pace, with your work as the practice material. Foundations included, so a mixed-experience team starts together.

individuals

Start on your own

Self-paced, with the same content, the same platform, and the same certificate.

partners

Partners and providers

Add Human-First AI capability programs to what you already deliver, with revenue share and full enablement. Published rates apply uniformly whether a customer contracts with us or with you.

Organizational outcomes

The objective is not AI adoption. It is lasting organizational capability.

Shared Language
Everyone understands the same Human × AI concepts, principles, and decision rules.
Better Decisions
People exercise stronger judgment and produce more defensible work.
Repeatable collaboration
Individuals build Human × AI collaboration systems they can reuse every day.
AI-enabled work
Teams redesign work instead of simply accelerating existing tasks.
Responsible Practice
People use AI safely, ethically, and consistently across the organization.
Continuous capability
The organization keeps improving as AI evolves.
The Record

Built against a standard. Measured on completion, not access.

12 of 12

Department of Labor AI training criteria. humanskills.ai conducted a published alignment analysis against TEN 07-25. Read the analysis

75%+

Completion, measured across our own cohorts. Enterprise learning platforms typically leave completion to the individual learner. Every seat we deliver carries verified completion.

WCAG 2.2 AA

Every course meets 2.2 AA. Most procurement standards ask for 2.1 AA.

21st revision

Continuous development since 2025. Content is revised as models and practice change, and every learner works from the current version.

Introducing VIRGIL

Meet Virgil. An AI guide designed to make itself unnecessary.

Most AI tools are happy to do the work for you. Virgil does something more meaningful. It watches how you work, identifies the specific skill holding you back, then builds scaffolding so you can close that gap yourself. Better questions instead of answers. Growing capabilities instead of increasing dependency.

Adapts to You

Static courses teach to the middle. Virgil reads your thinking and adjusts its approach in real time, meeting you where you actually are.

Builds Skill, Not Need

Virgil guides you through the complex work where real capability grows. The goal is competence that compounds over time.

Finds Your Blind Spots

You can't fix what you can't see. Virgil watches your process, names the gap, and builds a path to close it.

Stays in the Struggle

Virgil doesn't rescue you when things get hard. It sits with you in the difficulty until the skill takes hold.

The Human Capability Layer

The layer between your AI Investment and your results

Moving up the model is not a matter of more training hours. Each level requires something different, and the work is cumulative.

A Shared Language
Everyone working from the same concepts, terms, and decision rules, so that "use AI on this" means the same thing across a team.
Repeatable collaboration
Individual skill turned into systems other people can run. Operating contexts, standards, and methods that produce the same quality twice.
Responsible practice
Judgment about bias, privacy, verification, and accountability, built into how people work rather than added as a policy afterward.
Continuing capability
Capability that holds its value as models change, through applied practice and a community that keeps current.
The path

Build the foundation. Build core capability. Then scale it.

People start from different places. The goal is not to put everyone through the same program. It is to help each person build what their role actually requires.

1. Build the foundation

L0 → L1

Shared understanding, safe and responsible habits, and the confidence to use AI well. Nearly every knowledge worker needs this, which is why it is included in our core programs rather than sold separately, and why institutions license it across an entire population.

2. Build core capability

L1 → L3

Repeatable Human × AI collaboration, responsible practice, and the judgment to direct AI on work that matters. This is where individual use becomes organizational capability.

3. Scale and lead

L4 AND ABOVE

Workflow design, orchestration across functions, and the leadership capability to implement and scale responsibly. On our roadmap through 2026 and 2027.
